So Carli's eyes have been closed since she was born. Yesterday after church we went to visit her and while I was helping the nurse with her care time (diaper change etc) she opened both of her eyes. It was so sweet! At first they opened just a little, then more and more. Some times after opening them she would make a cute grumpy face like it was just too bright. When she opened her eyes you could also see her long blond eyelashes. so sweet!

is it humid in her NIC room? Does she cry or talk much yet?
Sounds like she is making some progress!! Yeah! She's definitely a fighter! Right now and for the next several months will be hard but you and your family will pull through. Our prayers are with you and little Carlie!

she lets out little crys when you change her diaper or move her around. in her little pod it is very warm but as far as humidity they put this vaseline type stuff all over her body so she doesn't loose any fluids via the skin.
I'm glad she is making progress. I saw your blog via Jandre's and I just wanted to let you know that our prayers are with you and little Carli and your whole family.
